　　天上有一颗牛郎星,一颗织女星,关于这两颗星星,还有一段美丽动人的传说呢.织女是天帝的孙女,每天在天上织造云锦.牛郎是一个牧牛的少年,很早就没有了父母,哥哥嫂嫂对他很不好,分家以后,只给了他一头老牛.

　　牛郎和老牛相依为命,日子过得很清苦.有一天,老牛忽然用人的声音对他说起话来.老牛告诉他,明天天上的织女和众姐妹要到山后的湖里洗澡.如果牛郎拿走织女那件粉红色的衣服,织女就会成为他的妻子.

　　牛郎按照老牛的`话去做,果然见到了织女.他们结婚以后,牛郎耕田,织女织布,日子越过越幸福.不久,他们又生了一儿一女,夫妻俩可高兴了.

　　可是,牛郎和织女的事到底被王母娘娘知道了.她气得火冒三丈,亲自带天神到牛郎家把织女抓走带上天.

　　孩子们哭着要找妈妈.老牛又一次对牛郎说了话：“牛郎啊,我快要死了,你把我的皮披在身上,就可以上天去追织女了.”老牛说完就死了.

　　牛郎披上牛皮,把孩子放在两个筐里挑在肩上,果然飞到了天上.牛郎像风一样在群星中穿行,眼看就要追上织女了.忽然空中伸下一只大手,狠心的王母娘娘用玉簪向身后一划,划出了一条大河,挡住了牛郎的追路,牛郎怎么也飞不过去了.这条河就是天河,也叫银河.

　　牛郎望着滔滔的河水,发誓无论如何也要见到妻子.王母娘娘没有办法,只得允许他们每年在农历七月初七的晚上见上一面.每到这一天,喜鹊们就会飞到天河上,为牛郎织女搭起一座鹊桥,让他们在桥上相会.据说,这一天晚上夜深人静的时候,如果你坐在葡萄架下,还能听到他们小声说话的声音呢.
